Jack DuBose
Jack has been active in local, state and national politics since moving to the area in 2005, first helping to organize various grassroots Tea Parties. He first got involved with the Republican Party by serving as a Real County Convention delegate at each of the GOP state conventions since 2012. He also served on the State Convention Rules Committee representing our Senate District 19 in 2012 and in the inaugural Legislative Priorities Committee in 2018. Having participated and served in a variety of ways including attending many SREC (State Republican Executive Committee) meetings as a guest and as a proxy he is experienced in both the local and state party apparatus.
Jack has participated in several campaigns including the successful campaign to elect Quico Canseco to Congress in 2010 and served again in 2012 when Canseco lost to Pete Gallego. He then worked on the campaign to retake Congressional District 23 with the election of the current Congressman Will Hurd. In 2016 he agreed to be Campaign Treasurer for the Dr Alma Arredondo Lynch campaign for Congress. In addition he volunteered to work to elect our current governor, Greg Abbott and also served on the Texas Strike Force team in the 2012 general election to campaign for Mitt Romney in Ohio.
Jack was a member of the Cruz Iowa Strike Force to elect Ted Cruz President and travelled to Iowa in January 2016 as a volunteer to turn out caucus participants.
Jack and his wife Terri participated in the unsuccessful campaign to elect Pete Flores for the State Senate in Senate District 19 in 2016 and again in the Special Election of 2018 when Pete became the first Republican Senator from our district in 139 years. Jack also served as the webmaster for the Peter Flores for Senate campaign website.
He has attended several Republican Party events designed to train for political activism in campaigns including Campaign Management School and to build party structure on the local and state levels including specific training for the County Chair position.
Jack is the current County Chairman for Real County.
